Publisher: Dungeon Masters GuildCharacters in D&D 5e are heroes. Minor heroes in cases, but heroes nonetheless. Being heroes, even those who do not directly use magic should be capable of great feats. This is not necessarily reflected in 5e’s base rules. That is where Martial Powers come in.
Martial Powers are a small set of utility abilities that only martial characters can reasonably perform. It expands the martial toolset while only slightly increasing their combat potential. It also allows for feats that the base rules don't allow, such as grappling massive creatures and harming creatures resistant to nonmagical attacks.
