The True World is an ever expanding campaign which utilizes existing lore for Maztica, Lopango, Anchorome, and Katashaka. The new lore never conflicts with canon material.
While the earlier edition creatures for Maztica have already been updated*, there are plenty more beasts to be fought!
This book contains 25 new monsters for the True World setting and while some are heavily steeped in lore, they could just as easily be used in non-True World or Maztican settings.**
The creatures within include a few updates to older creatures – many with new twists (such as the anadjiin, the corollax, and ekolid), but mostly it includes brand new creatures that have never been seen before. Mesoamerican mythology, as it turns out, is loaded with untapped potential!
Every creature in the book is represented with a unique piece of color artwork!!!
*The updated creatures, such as the Rain Dragon, Chac, Bacar, and Plumazotl are all soon to be included in the Maztica Bestiary, which will be tagged as TW5 when the product is ready.
**This book is the first half of a two part series that will each contain 25 monsters. The artwork needs to be purchased for each creature individually, and thus the original 50 creature needed to be broken up in order to allow a 1:1 ratio for monsters to art. Stay tuned for Bestiary I-Z!
