Dragonsbane of Staroak

The party has responded to a poster calling for adventures to aid the hamlet of Staroak.  It reads “Town of Staroak is in need of adventurers.  Town is in dire distress.  Adventurers who respond will be rewarded accordingly.”  Staroak is located deep in the wilderness at the base of a dormant volcano.  It is surrounded by deep forest with the exception of the pastures and cropland the residents have carved out of the land.  The volcanic activity of ancient days left the ground quite fertile, the crops and cattle love the fields.  The volcano towers above the town, it is also heavily forested up to the tree line.  Above the tree line moss coats the peak of the volcano giving it a plush dark green texture.  The hamlet is quite small and not heavily populated.  It is a tight knit community where everyone seems to get along as well as can be expected.
