Sometimes, things should be a bit more complex than just success or failure when a roll is made. There may be multiple dangers to avoid and varied opportunities to seize on the turn of moment or across a continous activity. In such instances, making a lot of rolls can feel like running down a dull checklist.
Danger/Opportunity provides a simple sheet (and a second page of examples of use) that you can drop in the middle of your table and shuffle a few tokens around as a means of laying out "What's at stake?" for more complex rolls of all sorts.
Danger/Opportunity is a decendant of the concepts found in Danger Cards, though structured quite differently for 5e use. So, if you find yourself liking Danger/Opportunity after reading, but would like some further ideas and examples of how complex stake-setting on the fly can work, you may want to give that document a look as well.
This is a "living document", and may be updated in future to add further examples, clarify notes, or otherwise attempt to improve on it. Should this occur, purchasers will be emailed to notify them of the update (if you're set up to receive emails from the site, that is).
